TN P Minister’s daughter Sekar Babu and husband seek police protection in Bangalore – The New Indian Express
BENGALURU: The 24-year-old daughter of Tamil Nadu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister P Sekar Babu met Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Wednesday and asked for police protection for herself and her husband with family members. The couple, Jayakalyani and Sathish (27), after meeting with Additional Police Commissioner (East) A Subramanyeshwara Rao, appealed to Home Minister Jnanendra, asking for protection.
MBBS graduate Jayakalyani said she and Sathish got married on their own accord. Expressing concern for their safety, she said fake cases were being imposed on her husband and there was a threat to their lives.
The minister blessed the newly married couple and spoke with the city’s police commissioner, Kamal Pant, about it. The Minister provided the couple with protection and advised them to meet with Pant. A police officer said the couple had been given relevant police contacts to contact in case they spot any suspicious movements. The couple was assured of police intervention within minutes in the event of an alert. Senior police officials will also remain in contact with the couple and continue to check on their well-being.
