Author Kenny Noble Cortes shares his testimony of Christian service while battling addiction in Culture Jock: One Foot in the World, One Foot in the Church ($29.99, paperback, 9781662834448; $9.99, e-book, 9781662834455).
Over the years as a radio personality and Christian music artist, Cortes has been forced to face the fact that he is not immune to the temptations and struggles that other men face. With his marriage on the line and his faith on the rocks, he had to accept daily surrender to Jesus Christ.
“I’ve been blessed with so many different ‘adventures’ over my 43-year career in broadcasting. I’ve also been an alcoholic for much of that time. It’s my hope that people can learn from my mistakes; maybe enough to save a broken relationship. It’s for believers who want to get the most out of their relationship,” Cortes said.
Kenny Noble Cortes is an American radio personality, musician, and prolific Christian songwriter. He served on various radio stations over the years, including K-LOVE and Air1. After leaving K-LOVE and retiring from radio in the fall of 2016, he was asked to become the acoustic guitarist for Christian rock band Renewed. Cortes and his wife Kay reside in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
